A word from the founder

Since I created the Heroes Day Programme they have been a huge success and have had such a positive impact upon the thousands of staff and pupils who have so far participated across the UK. Being a teacher myself, it has been fantastic to see how beneficial the Heroes Days have been for staff, pupils and the local school communities. I have seen first hand the fantastic work pupils have done during their Heroes Days. Visiting schools and seeing pupils learning about the true heroes of our past and present , whilst also providing an opportunity to highlight and champion the inspirational people in local communities has been superb. After all, it’s not just the globally acclaimed  people that can inspire, it is also the ordinary people within local communities, who do extraordinary things.”
